This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the Internal Baking Oven (IBO) used in the aluminum beverage can manufacturing process. It explains the purpose of lacquer curing, oven construction, heating zones, curing chemistry, conveyor operation, process temperatures, common oven defects, quality issues, cleaning procedures, IBO mate repair, and operational best practices. The course enables operators to understand how proper curing ensures food-safe coatings, corrosion resistance, coating adhesion, and consistent product quality while preventing under-cure, over-cure, blistering, contamination, and other coating defects.
