This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the fundamental principles of Six Sigma and the critical concept of Process Capability. Designed for professionals seeking to understand how to reduce variation and improve quality, this course bridges the gap between high-level theory and practical application.
Participants will begin by exploring the core philosophies of Six Sigma, including the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) methodology, the roles within a Six Sigma team, and the economic impact of quality (Cost of Poor Quality). The second half of the course focuses intensely on Process Capability Analysis. Learners will gain the skills to determine whether a process meets customer specifications by calculating and interpreting key metrics such as Cp, Cpk, Pp, and Ppk. By the end of this session, students will be able to distinguish between inherent process variation and specification limits, setting the foundation for data-driven process improvement.
